The electricity at work regulations states that all electrical systems and equipment used within the working environment should be in a safe condition. The Health and Safety executive requires that to comply with the regulations an inspection and testing schedule must be implemented in all work places. The frequency of this schedule will depend on the environment typically either 3 years for industrial installations and 5 years for commercial installations.
